About the event
4/20 Ganja & Hash derives its title from the seminal Black horror film Ganja & Hess. The program was conceived out of a need to feature Black cinema that delves into our relationship with weed. The program includes work by four rising Black filmmakers including: Shari Petti, Samara Huckvale, Clementine Narcisse and Devin Powell alongside classic visuals by Black music artists. 4/20 Ganja & Hash is as dramatic as it is funny, touching upon the highs and lows of weed consumption after and before the end of Prohibition.
