Weds 9/9: Films From the Polynesian Triangle

Films From the Polynesian Triangle celebrates Issue 61 of the Millennium Film Journal, “World Views”.  Martin Rumsby, author of the MFJ article “The Ocean is Our Prairie”, has selected an extraordinary assemblage of films, primarily by Samoan, New Zealand and Cook Island Maori, cinema artists from the Polynesian Triangle. polymapSmThe Pacific Triangle extends from New Zealand to Hawaii, and Easter Island to Samoa.  All works are U.S. premieres, and many world premieres made especially for the program.  The program includes a text written by Rumsby for the event, read by Grahame Weinbren.

This screening, as all regular Millennium screenings this Fall, will be at 7:30 at Spectacle Theater in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Spectacle is located at 124 South 3rd Street, Brooklyn, New York, between Bedford Avenue and Berry Street (directions).
