Damage Control: The Films of Adam Paradis & JB Mabe

From Super 8 to 16mm to 35mm (with chunks of video thrown in for good
measure), Paradis & Mabe calculatingly careen between film formats and
cinematic styles. Both filmmakers will present work of crafty poetic
documents and playful and lively found-footage. Paradis’s films and
performances focus on topics of film materiality media archeology and
archival process. Mabe’s films fall into the poetic, documentary, and
proudly amateur traditions.
