Letters is a series of one minute films that can be shown in any sequence. Viewers determine the sequence, by acclamation. The work has been developing since 2001, and each screening is unique. The rendition at the Millennium on June 14th includes a number of distinct story-streams, which weave in and out of one another like currents in the ocean. Much of the material is brand new, being shown for the first time. Some of it is highly personal, going into previously uncharted territory. There are also some familiar faces woven in. 67 Letters, this most recent construction of the piece, is an experiment in temporal architecture.
